The Yazidis are an ethno religous minority from northern Iraq. In 2014 the so called islamic state commited a genocide on the Yazidi population. At least 10000 yazidi men were killed and at least 7000 women enslaved. The ones who could flee often tried to make their way to Europe. Today more than 200 000 Yazidis live in Germany, the biggest yazidi diaspora community in the world.
